3/17/11: From GAC rep, JR McMillan: GAC invites other GHSWPA teams/clubs to play some polo this spring! There is no better way to learn the game than to play it, so we’ve come up with a tentative schedule (pending interest) to get the spring teams in the pool. But before we head into specifics, GAC has one rule – you MUST be a member of USWP in order to play at our facility. This is NOT FLEXIBLE and is required by GAC’s ruling body.

We are prepared and willing to open up our pool on the following Saturdays:

April 16th, 8 – 11 AM: As this will be the first Saturday open to other teams, I plan to lead a 1 to 1 1/2 hour practice followed by 1 or 2 scrimmages.

April 23rd, 8 AM – 12 Noon + April 30th, 8 AM – 12 Noon: We will open up the spring season tournament style! We plan to run 6 minute, running clock quarters with no overtime so that each team gets as many opportunities to play as possible

May 7th, 8 AM – 11 AM: This is the final practice of the GAC spring season, so games will be as follows – 6 minute quarters with foul stoppage and shootout overtime (fewer games per team, but more of a real game time scenario)

If your team is interested, please contact JR through GAC water polo as soon as possible with your team’s intent.

3/9/11: If your team plans on participating in the 2011 fall season, please fill out the GHSWPA Team Information Form and submit the completed form to the scheduling coordinator. Scheduling work for the fall season will then be able to get underway.
